For my next few blog posts, I’ll be discussing the different location options for your next Baton Rouge area photography session! Today, I’ll be highlighting one of my favorite outdoor locations - the Prairieville field.
Some reasons why I love this location and why it might be the right choice for you:
Easy parking. We are able to park just steps away from our shooting location. This spot is a great option for extended family sessions with grandparents or great-grandparents who may not be comfortable with a longer walk.
Privacy. We have exclusive access to this field which means ease of scheduling and not having to worry about sharing the location with other photographers, visitors, etc.
Convenient location. This location is great for Ascension parish residents, but it’s also conveniently located just 2 miles from I-10 so it’s a great spot for other Baton Rouge area clients too.
While I love this location for so many reasons, there are a couple of reasons it may not be the best fit for our session.
Because this location is grass with no sidewalks or pathways, heavy rain prior to the session day can affect our ability to have our session here.
If you would like more color and flowers, this may not be the best option for you. While beautiful, it is mostly green.
