About Malorie

As a child, I always knew what I “wanted to be when I grew up” - a mother.

I didn’t think too hard about my future career because it didn’t really matter what I did from 8-5 as long as I got to come home to a house full of babies. Thankfully, my journey led me to a career as a Mother/Baby nurse for eight wonderful years. Being at the bedside watching and supporting women as they transitioned into mothers was an incredible experience. But the hours were long, and I found myself trying to document and create as many memories as I could with my own children during my days off. My DSLR camera was practically attached to my face because I was determined to have tangible reminders of all of these moments - because wow, they pass so quickly! I eventually left my nursing career and founded Malorie Sitar Photography, an Ascension parish photography studio that focuses solely on portraits of motherhood.

Malorie is a Baton Rouge area photographer and she specializes in newborn, maternity, baby and young family photography. Malorie’s residential photography studio is located in the Prairieville/Gonzales area. Malorie focuses on walking you through the process from start to finish and will help you plan every last detail of your photography session.
