About Malorie

As a child, I always knew what I “wanted to be when I grew up” - a mother.

I didn’t think too hard about my future career because it didn’t really matter what I did from 8-5 as long as I got to come home to a house full of babies. Thankfully, my journey led me to a career as a Mother/Baby nurse for eight wonderful years. Being at the bedside watching and supporting women as they transitioned into mothers was an incredible experience. But the hours were long, and I found myself trying to document and create as many memories as I could with my own children during my days off. My DSLR camera was practically attached to my face because I was determined to have tangible reminders of all of these moments - because wow, they pass so quickly! I eventually left my nursing career and founded Malorie Sitar Photography, an Ascension parish photography studio that focuses solely on portraits of motherhood.

A few fun facts about me:

When I’m not chasing my three kids around the house, I’m usually on Pinterest and dreaming about my next home project (that probably won’t get done for at least another 6 months)

When I AM chasing my three kids around the house, I’m usually drinking a Diet Coke and dreaming about my next kid-free vacation (kidding..sort of)

I’m ALWAYS playing music wherever I go. Mostly Broadway musicals, movie soundtracks or classic country.

I am an enneagram 2w3. My favorite Disney princess is Tiana. And I have an irrational fear of whales.

I’d love to hear more about you and your motherhood journey. Contact me and let’s capture some gorgeous, timeless images!
